Services were held July 6 for Rosalind (Roz) Schaeffer, who died on June 29. Born and raised in Newark, she lived for many years in Livingston and then in Hollywood and Hallandale, Florida, for almost 30 years. She moved to Topeka, Kansas several years ago. Mrs. Schaeffer graduated from South Side High School, Newark, and received a teaching degree from Newark State Teachers College. She taught for several years, later working in the physical therapy department at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and as a personal shopper. Predeceased by her husband of 74 years, Jerry, in 2017, she is survived by her three sons, David (Bobbi) of Topeka, Peter (Liz) of Nantucket, Massachusetts, and Kevin (Pat) of Roseland; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
