Rose Eckstein died at home in Livingston on October 5. Born and raised in New York City, she graduated Hunter College with a bachelors degree in business and taught second grade for 22 years at Dutch Lane School in Hicksville, New York. After retiring to Nevada and California, she moved to Livingston when her husband, Albert, died in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Star; her son, Paul Kamen; three grandchildren and a greatgranddaughter. Funeral services were held at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus. Memorial donations in Mrs. Eckstein’s name may be made to the JCC MetroWest Margulies Senior Center in West Orange.
