Chemical Engineer, World War II Veteran Frank J. Klosowski, 95, of Livingston, passed away on Thursday, November 29, in Livingston. Born in Newark, Frank resided in Livingston since 1953. He was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering, where he earned an M.S. in chemical engineering. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a pharmacist in the Army Medical Corps in Europe during World War II. Frank worked as a chemist at Tung Sol Electric, Bloomfield, for 16 years and as a chemical engineer at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, for 26 years before retiring in 1991. He was also an active member of the Livingston American Legion Post 201, for which he served as a chaplain; the Livingston Old Guard; the Polish University Club of New Jersey; and the Polish American Club of Whippany. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Stanley Klosowski, and his brothers, Stanley and Edward. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Blanche; his three loving children, Joanne DeMartino (Ralph) of Elkton, Maryland; Diane Sikora (Michael), of Livingston; and Frank Jr. of Livingston. He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren, Victoria Sikora (Joseph) of Bordentown, and Michael Sikora IV of Hopewell; and many nieces and nephews. Frank was a caring and generous family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going t o the Jersey Shore and Florida along with travel ing the world. Frank had several hobbies such as drawing, painting, photography and playing chess. He was also very active, whether it be going for a swim, a brisk walk, mowing the lawn or working out at the gym. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends. Visitation was held December 4, at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston. The funeral Mass was offered on December 5, at St. Philomena Church, Livingston, with entombment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s name may be made to the Livingston American Legion Post 201, P.O. Box 201, Livingston, NJ 07039; or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
