Several parents and high school students attended the Board of Education meeting on March 18 to speak passionately about the resignation of high school English teacher Meredith Coviello. It had been announced at the March 11 Board meeting.
Applause from the audience followed each speaker.
First up was Andrea Petrullo of Fieldstone Drive, praising Coviello’s positive impact, talent and personal and academic interactions with students. Petrullo’s daughter, who had Coviello last year, “is one of the 400 students expressing support for Ms. Coviello, as am I,” she said.
