80-Year-Old Township Flag Pole Restored

After decades of going unused, the flag pole that sits outside the LivingstonAnimal Shelter will finally serve its purpose once again, thanks to some passionate employees and volunteer work. Animal Control Officer Jim Salvadore said he was tired of looking at the rusted pole, and he and some fellow employees decided that now was the time to fix it up. “I’m a military guy, I’m a Navy vet, and I’ve wanted to get the POW flag and American flag up there for years, but it’s always been too rusted,” Salvadore said. “I’ve been an employee here for 35 years and there’s never been a flag.”     To read more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition https://etypeservices.com/Lincoln%20Sentinel-RepublicanID387/   ...
