Open Pools and Uncollected Trash

Last weekend, Livingston experienced the strongest heat wave of the year, with temperatures in the 90s for several days and a heat index eclipsing the triple digit mark. In an effort to keep residents cool (in addition to having a cooling center at the Senior/Community Center), the township decided to open up both the Haines and Northland community pools to all residents. We don’t recall the township ever opening the pools to all during a heat wave, and commend everyone involved for doing so at no charge to residents. It was a creative and simple way to help a sweltering population cool off.
