Mass Was Celebrated For Ralph P. Celebre

Ralph P. Celebre, 89, formerly of Livingston, died on Monday, December 23. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He resided in Long Valley at the time of his death. He was a school principal for the Livingston Board of Education for over 40 years; a manager of the Haines Memorial Pool; and a founder of the Livingston Student Development Program, a student enrichment program. Mr. Celebre was president of the Livingston chapter of UNICO, and was recognized as a “Livingston Citizen of the Year.” He was the husband of the late Ruth Celebre; the father of Dr. Louis Celebre and his wife, Cheryl, Ralph Celebre and his partner, Susan Haase, Maureen Colonna and her husband, William, and Janice Lawton and her husband, Christopher. He was also the stepfather of Jane Clausen and her husband, Richard, and Christine Filip and her partner, Jane Caminos; the grandfather of 17; and the greatgrandfather of 15. The Funeral Mass celebrating Mr. Celebre’s life was offered at St. Philomena Church on Monday, December 30. Private cremation followed. Arrangements were by Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. ...
