Wallace (Wally) Sugarman

age 87, died Thursday, December 10, 2020, in Tampa, Florida. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Max and Sadie (Syd) Sugarman, he settled in Livingston, New Jersey, where he raised his family. Wally was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended City College of New York, earning a master’s degree in finance and business. He spent most of his career in corporate finance working for CBS, Ray Lass Department Stores, Liftman Jewelers and Bamberger’s, before branching out as an independent business owner. Wally was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing competitive tennis. Inmost recent years, he was a dedicated fan on the sidelines, cheering on his three grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife of 57 years, June B. Sugarman, he is survived by his children, Rhonda Sugarman and Marc Sugarman (Maureen); his grandchildren, Eric, Alex, and Caitlyn; his sister, Gloria Rothstein (Mel); sister-in law, Nini Sugarman; and many nieces and nephews. ...
