LHS Tennis Team Wins Lancer Showdown; Falls to Chatham at Newark Academy Invitational

The Livingston High School boys’ varsity tennis team defeated Pascack Hills and Christian Brothers Academy in the 15th annual Lancer Tennis Showdown. Prior to the tournament, long-time Lancer tennis supporter and Big L Club Executive Board member Stu Bodow served out the first ball at the first home match. Following the Lancer Showdown, Livingston faced Chatham on Saturday, May 1, in the first round of the Newark Academy Tennis Invitational. Livingston 3, Pascack Hills 2 The Lancers faced a very strong Pascack Hills team in the first round of the “Lancer Tennis Showdown.” At first singles Pascack Hills Luke Patelsky defeated Stanly Shukhman, 6-4, 1-6, 6-4, while Robbie Coleman defeated Pascack Hills Dennis Khanutin, 6-4, 6-2. At second singles, the Lancers’ Andrew Rhodes scored a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Aidan Berson.
