This Sunday, June 13, Livingston will hold its second Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding event of the year. The event will be held at the Senior/Community Center at 204 Hillside Avenue between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
These events offer residents drive-through service to dispose of unwanted electronics and small appliances and to have their confidential papers shredded.
Volunteers will be stationed on site to guide residents to the correct location in the rear and side parking lots, depending upon the types of items to be recycled. For safety reasons, residents are reminded to drive slowly through the parking lot, stay inside their vehicles with windows closed, and follow the directions of any volunteer wearing a safety vest. The electronics recycling vendor will provide personnel at the event to remove the electronic items from each resident’s vehicle.
