Independence Day Celebration Daytime Activities on July 4

Livingston’s Independence Day celebration will return this year, and will be held in two parts, explained Scott Maynard, co-chairman of the July 4 Celebration Committee. The daytime events will take place on Sunday, July 4, and the evening events – including the mainstage entertainment and fireworks program – will be held Sunday, September 12. Part of the decision to separate the daytime and evening events came as the result of research from other towns near Livingston, Maynard said. “Many of these communities had canceled their entire July 4 celebrations for 2021. The potential of having overwhelming crowds coming from outside of Livingston posed a security and health threat for our fireworks program on July 4.
