“It’s all about Livingston’s continued generosity,” notes Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. founder and director, Jeff Friedman. Shown here, Anglee Cody, director of emergency services at Newark Emergency Service’s for Families (NESF), helps a food pantry client with diapers, baby formula and baked goods stemming from LPI and its partnership with Bimbo Bakeries USA. “Local contributions funded these items, plus the heavy-duty grocery cart,” explains Friedman. “Please help LPI continue its initiatives by visiting paypal.me/lpinj. Contributions by mail are suspended due to postal issues.”

LPI Once Again Accepting Toiletries
Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), which suspended many of its item collections due to the pandemic, is once again accepting regular- and travel-sized toiletries for the homeless.
“With vaccinated people beginning to travel more regularly, there is more opportunity for folks to pick up travel-sized toiletries from hotels, etc., to donate to us,” said LPI director Jeff Friedman. “These items enable the homeless to maintain personal hygiene ‘on the go.’ Full sized items are also welcomed by the agencies we work with.”
Toiletries, including shampoo, soap, body wash, etc., may be dropped at Friedman’s garage. “Please email me at NJHomeless@aol.com, and I’ll give you the address and other information so you can drop them off,” he said.
Donors should note that items may be dropped at Friedman’s home only; they can no longer be accepted at the Tribune office.
