Town Council Will Meet in Person

The Township Council has announced that its next meeting, scheduled for Monday, December 20, will take place in person.For the first time since the pandemic began in March of 2020, Council members will meet in person in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 357 South Livingston Avenue. The regular meeting will continue to be livestreamed, as Council meetings have been for the past 18 months.Prior to the regular meeting, the Council will hold a conference meeting in person at 7 p.m. in the conference room at Town Hall. The conference meeting will not be livestreamed. In addition, residents must attend in person to participate.The regular meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. It will include public hearings on Ordinance 7-2021, entitled “Amending and Supplementing Chapter 170 of the Code of the Township of Livingston by Establishing a New Inclusionary Development Zone Designated as the R-5L Residence Overlay District;” Ordinance 35-2021, “Authorizing the Private Sale of Township Owned Real Property to Habitat for Humanity, Inc., South Ashby Avenue;” Ordinance 39-2021, “Adopting the Cedar Street Commons Redevelopment Plan Amendment;” and Ordinance 47- 2021. “Authorizing the Acceptance of Certain Easements.”The public can still view the meeting via livestream on the Township’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LivingstonTownshipNJ.Again, residents must attend in person to participate. Questions or comments may also be emailed to livcomments@livingstonnj.org by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 20.Formal action will be taken at the meeting.
