The driver and a passenger abandoned the victim’s Audi and ran to the waiting car. In this case, the police were not called until an hour after the incident occurred. Both incidents remain under investigation.“The Livingston Police Department urges residents to report crimes as they are occurring or as quickly as possible after the incidents has occurred,” said Det. Lt. Chris Reinhardt. “Residents should use caution when confronting people who are actively engaged in criminal activity. The people who are targeting Livingston neighborhoods are not petty criminals. Many of the cars stolen from Livingston have been used in more serious crimes, involving firearms, in our jurisdictions.”
