Dear Editor: Introduced by Vineeta Khanna, Board of Education president, the Township Council enabled Kathleen Zhang, Livingston High School salutatorian, the opportunity to give the speech she should otherwise have given at high school graduation.Several years ago, the school administration changed from having the salutatorian being the second student to speak at graduation to have the administration select the speaker.Going forward, the school administration along with the Board of Education should correct this matter. The salutatorian and a third speaker could have spoken. Hopefully, as Board President Khanna indicated, the Board will work to remedy this issue going forward. Ron and Jeanne Parke Kimball Avenue Works did a great job getting the pool ready for the summer.“We’re looking forward to July 8 and July 23, when the town will be hosting another special musical performance at the pool. Thanks to all who make coming to the town pool such a pleasurable experience.”
