LANCER WRESTLERS WIN: The Livingston High School boys’ and girls’ wrestling team defeated Nutley, 43-33, on Wednesday, January 17 at home in the LHS Fitness and Wellness Center. The meet began with a match between the girls’ teams, followed by a match between the boys’ teams. The Lancer record stands at 8-4. Shown above, left, Livingston 126 pound weight class wrestler Joanna Manoj controls Isabella Winn of Nutley enroute to an 8-3 decision. Above, center, Lancer 144 pound weight class wrestler Alexander Gliatis pins Clark St. Amant of Nutley at 3:00. At right, prior to the Lancers’ wrestling match against Nutley, the team’s seniors were honored. Each senior was introduced with their family, presented with a rose for their mothers, and then photographed under a 2024 balloon. Shown here second from left, Lancer 175 pound weight class wrestler Joseph Jean Marie was one of the seniors honored; with him are his father, Claude Jean Marie, his brother, Sam Jean Marie, and his mother, Andreane Exime. The other seniors honored that night were Valerie Genis, Jordana D’Andrea, Gabby Rosa, Isabella Boneares, Izadora Boneares, Kush Khedkar, Winston Da Silva, Pedro Moura, Abdul Ahmed, Evin Antony, Colin Pulver, Sean Smolyanskiy, and Dominic LaPolla.
