Don Harlor Richardson, a member of Livingston's Central School, class of 1944, currently lives in Brevard,North Carolina. Now 84 years old, he has put together the following collection of Livingston memories as part of an authobiography he is writing. This is the third in a series of four articles he has written recalling his childhood in Livingston during the 1930s and '40s.

When the class of 2014 graduated from Livingston High School, 97% were planning to attend a college, university or technical school, according to a report given by the Livingston High School guidance department to the Board of Education on November 24.

Arthur C. Watkins, Jr. Dies on November 18

Arthur C. Watkins, Jr., of North Caldwell died on Tuesday, November 18. The former Livingston resident was 68 years old. Born and raised in Newark, he resided in East Orange and Livingston before moving to North Caldwell 28 years ago. Mr. Watkins was graduated from Weequahic High School. He earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Rutgers University. He served as a teacher and guidance counselor with Newark public schools and retired as the chairman of the Guidance Department at Malcolm X Shabazz High School. Following his retirement, he worked as interim principal at various preschools and alternative education schools. Mr. Watkins was the former president of the Coastal Flyrodders and served as director of publicity for the club for many years. He is survived by Jill Watkins (nee Graifer), his wife of 28 years. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Family, friends, and the Junior Lancer cheerleaders braved the cold to support Livingston Junior Lancer B football team as the squad defended its Super Bowl title on Sunday night, November 16. The Junior Lancers B varsity, a football team comprising fifth and sixth grade boys and girls, took on the West Essex Cowboys in Nutley, winning the Super Bowl championship, 8-6.
