Prior to the scheduled business of the Township Council’s regular meeting, the Council took a moment to thank Livingston’s police, fire, and emergency medical services, along with the library staff, for coming to the aid of residents in need during last Thursday’s snow storm, which left many trapped in cars and township buildings, unable to make it even short distances home.
“Last Thursday was hopefully a once-in-a-lifetime, or at least a once-in-a-season storm,” mayor Ed Meinhardt said. “Fortunately all of our residents made it home with their houses standing and the lights on.”
