LYNX U12 SOCCER TEAM HAS UNDEFEATED SEASON

The Livingston Lynx U12 soccer team went 10-0 this season, winning every game in their flight to be crowned the champions of U12 MNJYSA league, which is the largest soccer league in New Jersey.

Residents Working Together

At Monday's meeting of the Township Council, there were two examples of what can be done when residents work together as well as another situation for which our community's residents are being exhorted to work together. The Council approved on Monday the formation of a new Animal Shelter Committee. Members will be appointed at the January 1 reorganization meeting.

Police Apprehend Burglary Suspect; Four Other Residences Are Entered

Following an intensive search on Thursday, December 11, a 20 year old East Orange man is in custody and charged with a number of burglaries in the area. Police credit an alert neighbor with the apprehension. The neighbor called police to report seeing a man climb into a rear window at 203 East McClellan Avenue.

Essex County Takes Over Shuttle Service January 2

The Livingston Express Shuttle, which runs from the Livingston Mall to the South Orange train station, will become self-sustaining next month for the fi rst time in its two year history. The program, which had been subsidized by the township since its inception in October 2012, will be taken over by Essex County effective January 2.
