Private Service Held For Elayne Wiener

Elayne Wiener, 85, died on December 13 at St. Barnabas Medical Center. She resided in Livingston until 1968, and then in Short Hills and Verona. Mrs. Wiener was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Herbert Wiener. She is survived by daughters, Lori Marcus (Alan) and Cheryl Schwartz; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel of Livingston. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the charity of the one’s choice.

Mass Offered Tuesday For Othmar Girard III

Othmar E . “Othi” Girard III of Livingston died on Friday, December 2. He was 49 years old. Arrangements were by the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston on Tuesday, December 6. Mr. Girard is survived by his companion, Patricia Tamburro; his father, Otto Girard; his mother, Yvonne (Young); and his siblings, Brian and Michele Girard. The family has suggested that memorial donations be made in Mr. Girard’s name to the American Heart Association.

Rachel T. DiLeva of Livingston, formerly of Orange, died at home on Wednesday, November 30. She was 93 years old. To extend a condolence or share a memory, visit codeyjonesfh.com. Born in Orange to Carmine and Marie Leo (Palmeri), Mrs. DiLeva was raised in Orange and lived most of her life in Livingston. She worked as a cook for the Livingston Board of Education. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, and her sisters, Geraldine Pulasky, Teresa Conzentino and Caroline Leo. Surviving are her daughter, Marie Garcia and her husband, Michael; and her brother, Matthew Leo.

Beverly Lay, 83 Dies in Florida

Former Livingston resident Beverly Lay died at home at DeLand, Florida on November 26. Born in Maplewood, Mrs. Lay was graduated from Columbia High School. She resided in Livingston from 1960 to 1983, and was retired from the Prudential Insurance Company in Roseland. She is survived by her husband, John L. Lay, who she married in 1954. She is also survived by four children, including Ellen; Susan and her husband, Dave Scott; Claire; and David and his wife, Alissa; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Newman, and her husband, Dan. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
