Carol Marlene Bruskin

Funeral services for Carol Marlene Bruskin, 83, were held Tuesday, December 9 at Bernheim-Apter- Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston. Mrs. Bruskin, who died December 7, was born in Jersey City and lived in Livingston for many years. She was a doctor of psychology and worked at the Matheny School in Peapack. Dr. Bruskin, who also maintained a private practice, was a member of the Garden State Yacht Club in Hopatcong. Predeceased by her husband, Lester in 2011, Dr. Bruskin is survived by her sons, Michael and his wife, Deborah Fay of West Orange, Robert of Newark, Delaware, and Richard and his wife, Stephanie of Succasunna; fi ve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Zoological Society of New Jersey, 560 Northfi eld Avenue, West Orange, NJ 07052.

Carmella (Cea) Mercurio

Carmella (Cea) Mercurio, 99, died at her residence in Livingston on Sunday, December 7. Her family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston today, Thursday, December 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. The blessing service will be held tomorrow, Friday, December 12, at 11 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum in East Hanover. Born in the Bronx, she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Livingston 15 years ago. Carmella was predeceased by her husband, Pasquale, in 1959. She is survived by her sons, Paul and his wife, Rosalind; Carl and his wife, Renee; and Steven and his wife, Dorothy. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Arthur C. Watkins, Jr. Dies on November 18

Arthur C. Watkins, Jr., of North Caldwell died on Tuesday, November 18. The former Livingston resident was 68 years old. Born and raised in Newark, he resided in East Orange and Livingston before moving to North Caldwell 28 years ago. Mr. Watkins was graduated from Weequahic High School. He earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Rutgers University. He served as a teacher and guidance counselor with Newark public schools and retired as the chairman of the Guidance Department at Malcolm X Shabazz High School. Following his retirement, he worked as interim principal at various preschools and alternative education schools. Mr. Watkins was the former president of the Coastal Flyrodders and served as director of publicity for the club for many years. He is survived by Jill Watkins (nee Graifer), his wife of 28 years. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Josephine Mansueto Dies at the Age of 90

Livingston resident Josephine Mansueto died at the age of 90 on Sunday, November 9. Born in Alberona, Italy, Mrs. Mansueto lived in Orange before moving to Livingston. She worked for Varityper Co. in East Hanover. She was an active member of Mt. Carmel Church in Orange and a Doe in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Livingston. Mrs. Mansueto was the wife of the late Donato Mansueto and the mother of Joe Mansueto and his wife, Betsy; Umberto Mansueto and his wife, Karen; Giovanna Mansueto Nazzaro and her husband, Jon Grouf; and Linda Mansueto Bardzik. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter.
